The TRAVELING Handle Bowl Set
This set is a TRAVELING perfect pitch 440hz quartz crystal singing handle bowl set, with a high quality traveling case. The set comes with 7 bowls. Because the bowls are all perfect pitch and incremental, the bowls will ascend the major scale perfectly singing do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti. Each bowl is fundamentally a clear bowl, with a handle place on the end. The bowls in this way have all the great qualities of clear bowls. They have captivating tones, have long sustains, and when you play them together they create a wonderful chorus of sound.
In this set you will receive 7 bowls ranging from 6.5-5 inches in diameter - C (lowest), D, E, F, G, A, B (highest). These bowls are all in the fourth or middle octave. With each bowl you will receive a striker.
The crystal handle bowl case you will receive is a great option. The case has inserts that are cut specific to each bowl, so they can be transported very safely. The case opens with two strong butterfly latches, and pulls all the way back so the bowls can be easily taken out. When you close the case again, there are 7 holes in the top that you can use to place each handle bowl in. The case doubles as a bowl box stand! Each handle bowl fits snuggly within the holes on top of the case, and then you can play the handle bowls together to utilize the rich harmonics found in bowls. You can also in practice take out one bowl and move around a room playing it too. This case is a great option for storage and traveling with these handle bowls. There is not enough room between the bowls for them to be sung easily while on top of the case, though can be struck easily.
The case is 28" long x 16" deep x 16" height, and weighs a total of 32 lbs(bowls included in weight).
On 440hz: 440hz tuning is the standard measure for tuning in most of the world. Imagine a piano. The middle A note in the middle of the piano resonates at 440hz, and all the other notes of the piano are tuned in relationship to middle A being 440hz. This is 440hz tuning and is the international standard for tuning.
