Zacciah Blackburn - Owner and Sound Healing Instructor

Non-Profit Organization - Women One

Zacciah Blackburn started Sunreed Instruments in 1977, and has spent his life teaching sound healing in the path of self-realization.

"Since I was a young boy, I was taught love and respect for the beauty of the natural world. As a young man, I experienced Unity consciousness, and understood that All Life is connected. Since that time, I have devoted myself to spiritual development and service, and support all causes that recognize the importance of the natural world, indigenous peoples, sustainable living, and appreciation for and equality of race and gender. At this time, I am choosing the non profit organization for their work toward creating positive change in the lives of women and girls globally through access to quality education. I greatly appreciate their motto: "Educate a girl. Change the world." It brings me even greater appreciation for my own daughter's work educating young women in Vietnam in creative writing. She has always said she wants to empower young women in this way. This makes me feel I am supporting her dream as well, by supporting WomenOne and their work to educate girls internationally."

Dorothy Stone - Sound Healing Instructor

Non-Profit Organization - Habitat For Humanity

Dorothy is grateful everyday for the opportunity to work with Zacciah and the Sunreed team.  She is Zacciah’s long time partner and has held the vision with him for Sunreed Instruments and the Center of Light to be an educational resource and source for world instruments that can assist in the evolution and uplightment of humanity and all life on Earth. She is happy that you have found us and looks forward to being of service to you on your healing path.

"I believe very strongly that in order to build a better, safer and more secure world, especially for children, it is imperative that communities need to step forward to assist in providing adequate housing.  We all need a place to call home."

Julie Jones - Warehouse Manager

Non-Profit Organization - Vermont Foodbank

Current Round-Up Donation

Julie Jones is thrilled to be working for Sunreed again!  She is a life long believer and practitioner in holistic healing, and enjoys spending time with her wife and 4 legged friend.

"My Non-Profit is the Vermont Food Bank.  There are so many children and families who do not have adequate food supplies in Vermont.  I worked with a Middle School guidance counselor who had a food closet in her office for children who needed food on the weekends and through out the week.  Food insecurity is a major problem in Vermont."

Kay Gilman - Office Administrator and Customer Support

Non-Profit Organization - Abbe Freeland Animal Sanctuary

Kay Gilman is a trained musician who joined the Sunreed Team in the Summer of 2019. She enjoys being able to share her knowledge and love of music with Sunreed Instrument's customers. In her free time, Kay enjoys quality time with her partner and family of dogs, cat, chickens, and ducks.

"Abbe-Freeland Animal Sanctuary in a non-profit volunteer run wildlife rehabilitation center which has been giving second chances to hundreds of injured and orphaned wildlife since 1989. Throughout my life I have always had a love for animals of all kinds and have sincerely appreciated the work done for rehabilitating wildlife in order to release them or, if the injuries they sustain render them incapable of surviving in their wild environment, homing them in a sanctuary. Abbe-Freeland Animal Sanctuary also educates people in hopes to have people come to appreciate their wild neighbors and learn to peacefully coexist with them."

Jonathan Wood - Development Manager

Non-Profit Organization - Native American Rights Foundation

Jonathan Wood is a meditation and sound healing consultant. He enjoys time in the office, as well with his wonderful wife and two boys here in the woods of Vermont.

"We have had the privilege of working with Native American instrument makers for decades. Their work has supported our lives, and so giving back is really important to me. The Native American Rights Fund protects the existence of Tribal land and resources, from helping tribes achieve Federal Recognition to successfully fighting against the Keystone XL pipeline."
