Product Description: A silicon based quartz striker will diminish and get rid of almost all contact noise between the mallet and frosted crystal bowl, so you just hear the pure tone of the bowl. These mallets work great to sing frosted bowls, empyrean bowls, metal bowls, and also larger clear bowls. We have been selling our quartz crystal striker for many years now, and were the first to start offering this style of striker in the United States. It is still our highest recommendation. Customers have asked for a longer version of the striker, so you can easily play a crystal bowl while sitting in a chair. This mallet is to meet that need. It is 14" long and comes with an 8" long silicon sleeve so that you can easily play a bowl, and not have to worry about contact between the glass handle and the bowl.
