This is a hand held gong made by our friends Universe Gong in Portugal.

Each gong is made from a nickel alloy, in Porto, Portugal. It is 18 inches, and only weighs about 3.5 lbs. 

For its size, it has a very nice deep tone, and is ideal as a hand held gong, being played around people in a sound bath. 

Universe gongs are gongs made from love. Miguel Lourenco, the gong maker, makes each one as a unique gong. He is not trying to replicate a gong that came before. He is not trying to make gongs in large quantities. He puts himself in a meditative mindset, and produces each gong with love, because he believes that the energy he brings to gong making works inside his gongs.
