Product Description: This is an incredibly versatile crystal bowl tool! It is a quartz crystal rod, that has been wrapped completing in silicon, with a rubber ball on the end. You can play with either the silicon, or the rubber ball, and both will eliminate the friction noise between the mallet and the bowl, and create an incredibly smooth, steady, easy playing experience.

Many people prefer to play a frosted or empyrean bowl with a rubber ball mallet. Playing on the side of the bowl with the ball gets rid of the friction noise between the mallet and the bow. Also, the ball striker brings the sound of the bowl up quickly, and you have a high level of control over how loudly you would like to play the bowl. You are able to have the bowl produce a very steady sound, rather then a wavy unbalanced sound that can come with playing around the rim. HOWEVER typically all ball strikers have a wooden handle, and you have to be careful not to touch the wooden handle against the side of the bowl or you'll create a bad sound. By placing the rubber ball on a silicon striker, you no longer have to pay attention to your playing of the bowl. As you go around the bowl, you can touch the side of the bowl with the rubber ball, or the silicon sleeve, and the sound quality does not alterIt maintains itself steadily. There are no more playing accidents. This creates an incredibly smooth, easy playing with a lot of control. It allows you to really let go of the playing itself, and focus more into the meditation.

The mallet has an excellent weigh to it. It is not too heavy, nor too light. Oftentimes mallets are too light, and it is hard to get the right pressure on the side of the bowl.

You can play the bowl with the rubber ball, or flip the mallet over and play it with the silicon sleeve. It is long enough to hold in your hand from either end. If you play it with the silicon sleeve, the ball on the other end becomes a point of stability to comfortably play the bowl.
