Product Description: This is a harder, rough surfaced friction mallet. It will allow for slightly lower tones to be expressed more prominently than a stickier friction mallet. However, since the mallet is egg shaped, the tones you can produce will change depending on what side of the mallet you are using. If you use the pointed side for example, you will be able to produce some higher tones.
