Hokema samsulas are very high quality, made in Germany, out of cherrywood. There is a sincere level of craftsmanship in these instruments.
Sansulas, are finger pianos, that have been attached on top of a small frame drum. They create bright, bell/chime metal tones, that are clear, and beautiful. They can sound similar to a wind chime, though one that you play with your fingers.
This Sansula is make out of a synthetic drum head made by REMO, so is durable.
This Sansula, is in the A minor scale.
With sound work, sansulas are wonderful to tone with. A simple technique is just to pick out a simple melody or rhythm just playing 2-3 of the tines that are harmonic with each other, and the toning with them. It is easy to connect the voice, with the quality of tone of this instrument.
