Our Egyptian style sistrum is a unique instrument inspired by the cultures of Hat'or, the Egyptian goddess of music, muse, and fertility.
It stands 16" high and is handcrafted from sheesham with nickel silver jingles strung on rods deliberately snake-shaped in keeping with its historical aspects.
It is historically used to enhance ceremony, ritual, journeying, drumming and dancing.
The nickel jingles make a fairly loud sound when shook. It can be controlled as well to give louder and softer jingle notes.
