Working with the Body

The weighted vibration can be applied gently throughout the body in a variety of ways depending on the practice and intention. Many people work with the fork along the shoulders, sternum, upper back, hips, hands, feet, or along areas of physical tension where vibration may support greater awareness and relaxation.

The method is simple, just activate the fork, place it on the body, feel the vibration and take deep breaths. Just doing this 3-4 times can lead to an automatic relaxation response. You can also pair the vibration with positive intent, which can increase effectiveness.

A Listening Practice

This fork can be approached very simply.

You might begin by activating the fork gently and bringing the sound close to the ears while taking several slow breaths. Rather than trying to force a particular state, allow attention to settle naturally into the vibration and the movement of the breath.

Some practitioners choose to hold a simple intention inwardly during this process — such as steadiness, clarity, gratitude, or openness — allowing the sound to become a resting point for these positive states to grow in the practice.

For many people, this becomes a simple reset practice that can be returned to throughout the day: pause, listen, breathe, and begin again.
