This rattle is hand-crafted in Peru using kenari seed pods and driftwood, with bead accents woven throughout.
Each piece carries its own variation in form, tone, and movement, shaped by the natural materials.
The sound is textured and organic. When held upside down and gently moved, it creates a flowing effect similar to a rainstick—soft, continuous, and immersive. The subtle clattering of the seed pods produces a soothing, layered sound that can fill a space without overwhelming it.
When shaken more actively, the rattle becomes brighter and more rhythmic, offering a wider range of expression between gentle atmosphere and defined pulse.
In practice, this rattle is especially versatile. It can be used to create a continuous field of sound, or to introduce rhythm and movement into a session. The shifting textures invite both listening and exploration.
