Peruvian Chonta Tree Gourd Rattles

These are hand made Peruvian shamanic rattles. Families of local artisans go into the rainforest and collect these gourds from trees. The gourds are different sizes depending on the amount of rain and other weather conditions for the year. The artisans hand choose each gourd, dry them and hand carve them into different geometric shapes or animal medicines. Each of these rattles have a bright uplifting tone.
