The Foundational Sound Bath Frosted Crystal Bowl Set was developed from the combined experience of Sunreed™ educators Zacciah Blackburn and Dorothy Stone after many years of leading sound healing trainings and immersive sound experiences. The bowls in this collection have been intentionally selected to create a rich, balanced harmonic field that is both approachable for new practitioners and deeply rewarding for experienced facilitators.

This collection provides a carefully considered foundation. Together, the bowls create an uplifting and spacious soundscape, along with binaural stimulation, that supports meditation, therapeutic work, and sound bath practice.

A Harmonic Foundation

The set begins with a deep 14" F bowl that provides a warm and grounding foundation. From there, the tones progress upward through a 12" C, a 10" F, and an 8" C. These carefully chosen intervals create a beautiful relationship of perfect fifths, perfect fourths, and octaves, allowing the bowls to resonate together with remarkable coherence.

Each bowl has been selected not only for its note, but also for its size. Their proportions allow them to respond easily to the striker while producing strong, sustained tones that remain balanced across the entire collection.

The result is a soundscape that feels both grounding and expansive, offering layers of resonance that naturally unfold throughout a meditation or sound bath.

The Theta Companion Bowl

This collection also includes a second 12" C bowl, expanding the possibilities of the set even further. When played together with the primary 12" C, the two bowls create an approximate 6 Hz theta binaural relationship.

Many practitioners enjoy introducing this subtle harmonic interaction during quieter portions of a session, allowing participants to settle more deeply into spacious listening and contemplative awareness. Rather than dominating the experience, the second bowl gently expands the harmonic field while remaining integrated with the overall voice of the collection.

The included Sunreed™ Silicone Quartz Striker has been chosen to provide one of the cleanest and most enjoyable playing experiences available. The silicone playing surface significantly reduces the contact noise often heard with traditional strikers, allowing the pure voice of each bowl to emerge with greater clarity during both striking and singing techniques.

As your practice evolves, this foundational collection also serves as an ideal beginning for expanding into a traditional chakra bowl set or into our recommended Professional and Complete Sound Bath Sets.

Use in Practice

You might begin with the deep 14" F, allowing its grounding tone to settle into the space before gradually introducing the remaining bowls one at a time. As the harmonic relationships emerge, notice how the perfect fifths, fourths, and octaves begin to weave together into a unified field of sound.

Later in the practice, the second 12" C can be introduced alongside the first, adding another subtle layer of harmonic movement to the listening experience.

There is no need to play continuously. Many practitioners discover that allowing each tone to fully unfold before introducing the next creates a spaciousness that supports deep listening and presence.
