These 5-inch bundles of California sage are traditionally used for cleansing and preparing a space before meditation, ceremony, or prayer.
When gently lit, the sage releases a fragrant smoke that many use to refresh the atmosphere and bring a sense of clarity to a room.
The practice of burning sage has long been associated with purification and intention, offering a simple way to shift the feeling of a space and mark the beginning of a practice.
Working with Sage
Sage can be used simply and intentionally:
• Light the end of the bundle and allow it to burn briefly
• Blow out the flame and let the smoke rise
• Gently move the smoke through your space or around the body
