Each rattle begins as a natural gourd, which is harvested, dried, and hand-carved. The surface is etched with symbolic imagery, and no two pieces are exactly alike in tone, shape, or detail.
The sound is bright, clear, and rhythmic, with a joyful quality that carries easily without being overpowering. They respond well to both soft and fast movement, allowing for a wide range of expression—from gentle pulses to continuous rhythm.
The handle is shaped for ease of use, making the rattle comfortable to hold either fully in the hand or lightly between the fingers.
These rattles include a natural grass adornment at the top, adding a soft visual and tactile element to the instrument.
