This cushion is designed to support large grounding bowls, offering a wide and stable base while allowing the full presence of the sound to remain.

The outer layer is made from natural cotton, with a buckwheat-filled interior. This creates a firm yet responsive surface—able to hold the weight of larger bowls while still allowing vibration to carry.

A Grounded and Supportive Surface

With its larger size and depth, this cushion provides a strong point of contact for heavy bowls. The buckwheat filling helps the bowl settle securely, reducing movement while maintaining a clear and open resonance. The surface adapts slightly to the shape of the bowl without collapsing under its weight.

Because of this balance, the bowl can often be played directly on the cushion—whether struck or worked around the rim—without needing to be lifted. It may be used as a resting place for larger bowls, or as a stable base while working directly with sustained tones.
