The Zen Acero Constellation Series Steel Gong is a handcrafted steel gong with a bold visual presence and a wide, resonant voice. Each gong is formed from two separate pieces of steel, then welded and forged into a single unified instrument.

The result is a gong with strength, depth, and acoustic richness, shaped by both material and handwork. Its sound can move from clear, focused tones to fuller waves of resonance, depending on the mallet, touch, and space.

Each design in the Constellation Series carries its own visual identity, inspired by mythic and celestial imagery. Orion’s Reach, Genesis, Ares Core, and Titan Forge each offer a different expression of sight and sound while sharing the same careful construction and practice-centered foundation.

A Gong with Individual Character

Zen Acero Gongs are individually forged and tuned by hand. Natural variations in color, texture, hammer marks, finish, and tone are part of the making process.

These variations are not defects. They are part of the character of a handmade gong.

Each gong is acoustically unique. Photos and sound samples are representative, but not specific to the individual gong you will receive. Visually and tonally, no two are exactly alike.

The Constellation Series Designs

Orion’s Reach is named for the hunter who spans the stars. Its visual finish suggests distance, openness, and movement through a wide field. In sound, it offers bright clarity, strong projection, and sustained resonance.

Genesis carries the feeling of origin and beginning. Its tone is balanced and grounding, with warmth and depth that can support steady, spacious playing.

Ares Core is named for strength, resolve, and concentrated power. Its darker visual character reflects a more intense presence, and its sound can feel direct, robust, and commanding.

Titan Forge draws on the image of mythical giants and the shaping power of fire, pressure, and craft. Its layered visual design speaks to the process of creation, while its sound offers deep resonance and a strong presence in the room.

Use in Practice

Form and Playing

Each gong is strung with heavy-duty black paracord, suitable for carrying during a sound bath or hanging from a gong stand.

A premium fleece mallet is included. The provided sound samples demonstrate a range of tones this series can produce, though each handmade gong will have its own voice.
