This starter kit includes what is needed to begin working with the bowl. The classic nesting case allows for storage and transport, while the included O-ring supports stable placement during play. The magic mallet offers a soft, responsive contact point, making it easier to draw out a full tone without force. Together, these elements create a straightforward entry into working with crystal sound.
Use in Practice
This bowl can serve as a starting place for entering into listening.
You might begin by placing the bowl on its O-ring and allowing a single strike to fully emerge and fade. Over time, you may begin to follow the tone as it expands, working with sustained motion around the rim or alternating between silence and sound.
In practice, this can support a return to steady attention. The lower register invites a slower pace, where listening becomes less about producing sound and more about staying with what is already present.
There is no need to rush into a full set. One bowl is enough to begin.
