The classic chakra set, plays the full major scale we all recognize (Do – Re – Mi – Fa – So – La – Ti – Do). Each note of the scale may be paired with a chakra to create a powerful meditation. Or, the scale can be played intuitively for a deeply harmonic and melodious experience.

7, 8 & 9 Bowl Sets – Understanding the Difference

Sunreed offers the 7 bowl chakra set, but also developed the 8 bowl and 9 bowl chakra sets to add further harmonious depth.

7 Bowl Set (C–B):
14" C
13" D
12" E
11" F
10" G
9" A
8" B

This plays the classic major scale, singing “Do – Re – Mi – Fa – So – La – Ti”.

8 Bowl Set (C–C):
Adds a 8" High C. The 8” High C can relate to the "soulstar" or “bah”, which is the chakra above the head. It also sings the final “Do” of the major scale, to complete the octave and add a sense of harmonic resolution to the set.

Premium Heaven and Earth 9 Bowl Set:
Adds a 14" Low F. The 14” F can relate to the "earthstar", which is below the root chakra. It also sings a beautiful deep bass note, to play harmonically below the angelic higher notes of the major scale.

Together, these sets move from a structured scale, to a complete octave, to a fully extended range.

432Hz or 440Hz Tuning

These sets are available in 432Hz or 440Hz tuning.

• 440Hz is the international standard used across most musical instruments
• 432Hz is slightly lower in pitch across all notes

Both follow the same relationships between notes—the difference lies in the overall reference pitch.

If you plan to play with other instruments, 440Hz is typically preferred.

If you are working solely within the bowl set, either tuning can be used based on personal preference.

Every frosted crystal singing bowl is individually played and inspected before it leaves Sunreed™.

Each bowl is tested at least three separate times, allowing us to evaluate the quality of the rim, ease of play, tuning accuracy, clarity of voice, and quality of sustain. Only bowls that meet our standards become part of a complete set.

Each bowl in our sets is selected for its clarity, tone, and precise tuning.

Tuning plays a central role in how harmonies are experienced. When bowls are closely aligned in pitch, the relationships between notes become more coherent—creating a smoother, more stable field of sound.

All bowls are crafted from premium-grade crystal and are tuned within ±5 cents of perfect pitch, exceeding common industry standards.

The result is a set that plays together as a unified system—clear, balanced, and consistent across the full range.
