This set brings together eight Himalayan metal singing bowls, arranged in a full tonal sequence from C through to C..

Each bowl is hand-selected in Nepal, with attention to how the tones relate across the full set. 

A Note About Our Source And 432hz Tuning

Achieving a set like this is difficult. We have been on the look out for a way to consistently provide well tuned 8 bowl sets for many years. Metal bowls are multi-tonal, so they play a range of tones within a specific note.

We are so happy to have met our new metal bowl curator, who is from and works in Nepal. He selects each bowl for us specifically because they play within the range of 432hz tuning for each note.

Once the bowls gets to us, we play them alongside a 432hz tone generator to hear the note in the bowls. However, digital tuning apps may register slightly different readings for each bowl, and we do not guarantee these as perfect pitch 432hz bowls. Our main goal with these sets is tonal coherence within the scale. After listening to each bowl, we then put together sets for the quality of their harmonies together. 

A Complete and Expanding Voice

With eight bowls, the range becomes fully open. Lower tones offer depth and stability, while the higher tones introduce clarity and lift.

Moving step by step through the sequence creates a natural sense of progression, while playing across the set allows for more open and intuitive combinations.

The bowls create a field where relationships between tones can be explored over time.

Form and Feel

Each bowl rests on its own cushion, allowing it to resonate clearly.

The included mallets and gongers offer different ways of working with the sound—through a defined strike or a more continuous tone around the rim.

Each bowl carries slight variations in tone, sustain, and response, reflecting the nature of hand-worked metal.

Metal bowls naturally produce multiple overtones, and their perceived pitch can shift depending on how they are played.
