A 7 bowl set follows the traditional major scale:

Do – Re – Mi – Fa – So – La – Ti

In crystal bowl form:

This is commonly known as the standard chakra set, where each note is paired with one of the seven primary energy centers:

C — Root
D — Sacral
E — Solar Plexus

The 8 Bowl Set — Completion of the Cycle

The 8 bowl set adds a higher C above the B:

Musically, this allows the scale to fully close.

If you plan to play with other instruments, 440Hz is typically preferred.

If you are working solely within the bowl set, either tuning can be used based on personal preference.
