This striker offers a softer approach to both crystal and metal singing bowls, combining a silicone-wrapped handle with a cushioned “fluffy” head for a smooth and rounded response.

Designed to reduce surface noise while supporting a full tone, it allows the bowl to sound clearly without sharp or percussive contact. The rounded head creates a broader point of contact, drawing out more of the fundamental tone while softening higher, sharper harmonics.

A Soft and Grounded Response

For crystal singing bowls, the fluffy ball end of the striker will bring out the soft fundamental tone with a good strength. When using a harder mallet on the rim of a crystal singing bowl, often times the higher harmonic comes out in a disharmonious way. This helps bring out the deeper fundamental note of the bowl with clarity. The handle of the striker is silicon, so can be used to easily sing the bowl cutting out the contact noise between the bowl and the striker. In this way you can sing the bowl and just bring out the pure tone of the bowl. It is definitely an upgrade to suede mallets and our normal quartz crystal striker.

For metal singing bowls, the fluffy ball end of the striker brings out more of the lower fundamental of the bowl. Harder mallets will bring out the high harmonic more. This fluffy ball ensures you get more of the pure clean tone of the fundamental. Often times metal singing bowl mallets have handles that are too long. This size is easy to use. The silicon wrapped handle is also ideal for singing metal bowls easily. It is thus an upgrade from the normal suede wrapped metal bowl mallet, and can be used for both singing and ringing the bowl.
