Japanese Rin

The Rin Gong is traditionally used in Japanese temples. It is an inverted bell, made to be hit on the edge at the beginning of meditations or during prayer. The gong can also be used like a singing bell and sung around the rim. These bowls are sometimes filled with water as well as to be tuned.
