The Bell and Dorje, and Tingsha, are central bells used in meditation and ceremony in Tibetan Buddhism. Here is are offering a small tibetan bell, with tingsha, which are complimentary in sound. This is a great gift for a loved one interested in using sound in the meditative arts.

About Bell and Dorjes: Our small Tibetan  Bell and Dorje (Ghanta and Vajra) come as a set and are cast in 2 parts. The top part is bronze with the face of the goddess which is the owner of the bell. It has a finely worn antiqued appearance. The bell represents wisdom and the feminine aspect and the dorje represents the creative, forceful, male energy. During ceremonies, the bell is held in the left hand with the dorje in the palm of your right hand. The Dorje represents the method that grows compassion. The Bell represents Buddha's mind which is wisdom. Each time they are used it is to remind you to practice great compassion wisdom.

About Tingshas: One simply holds the bells by the attached leather cord, and strikes them together, allowing the bells or cymbals to freely ring.  This is best done while sitting quietly, focusing one's attention, and allowing the bell to permeate one's field of awareness, and space around and within.  Follow the sound of the bell to quieten the mind, grow more relaxed, centered, and spacious in one's field and felt senses.  One can use the bell to assist a client in similar ways in a therapeutic practice, of opening or closing a group meditation, or bringing attention to an aspect of a meditative practice during a group meditation or sound event.
