About This Set

This package combines Dragonfly Percussion mallets with friction mallets, offering both striking and rubbing techniques in one cohesive setup.

The Dragonfly mallets are handcrafted in the USA and are known for their comfort, balance, and responsiveness. Their lightweight design makes them easy to work with over longer sessions, allowing the gong to open naturally and with control.

The included friction mallets introduce a different way of playing. Rather than striking the gong, they are used with pressure and movement across the surface to create continuous tones, often experienced as rising or “whale-like” sounds.

Together, these tools give you access to both grounded, resonant tones and more textural, expressive layers of sound.
