z-teach.jpgThis program offers a skilled approach to the nature of sound and healing designed to be of benefit to novice and practitioner. We approach a broad understanding of major sound healing modalities. With this foundation of understanding with the nature of sound, and the use of instruments, we begin to explore ever more deeply the use of voice, also, for personal and professional use, for practice in clearing, aligning, and energizing the human energy field, the nature of and use in invocation of allies and teachers in the subtle worlds of understanding, and much more. How is sound used as healing tool? Why is it so effective? We each have the creative capacity to utilize our voice in healing, every day. By setting proper awareness, and intention, we can, by speaking our truth, voicing our wounds, and touching our Divinity, and alliance with subtle realms of being, spark healing in ourselves and others.

An additional note from our facilitator:

I would like to add a little more information regarding this online program.

I hope it is helpful to assist you in gaining clarity about the nature and content of the program, and if it is worth your time and investment to join us.
We greatly appreciate your interest, understand the wish for such clarity, and respect the investments such program require on your part.

This upcoming zoom program will be one of the first we produce on line for sound healing.
I have been involved in the field of world music/meditative arts/and/or sound healing since 1974.
I have been teaching since 1990.
We offer extraordinarily in depth programs on the nature of sound, healing, and consciousness.
The understanding of these three principles of life are required if we are wanting to use sound in a healing modality.
These 2 online trainings currently listed (Sept or Jan, and Feb), will attempt to cover the very in depth program that was scheduled for August as a 6 day retreat.  We hope to continue with at least 2 more sessions to follow in sequence to these, to provide as in depth a program as possible on line.
Most people find our trainings much more in depth, and far more beneficial than most other trainings they have experienced.

If you can imagine, we simply will not be able to cover in 3 hours, or 6 hours, the level of work we might attain to in 6 days together.
Yet, we will attempt to extract the fundamental teachings and usages of sound tools to include our own level of awareness and intention, and how we approach a sound practice, crystal and Tibetan bowls, bells and gongs, tuning forks, drums and rattles, and voice.
Because of the shortness of our time together, at least in the first program, I will not take the time to do back and forth 'let's try our crystal bowls or Tibetan bowls together.'
I will demonstrate and explain as much as possible, and utilize the instruments, in experiential exercises that you can get as good of a glimpse as possible into the nature of sound healing, and how to use these simple instruments, in a 3-6 hour setting.
It may be helpful for you to acquire some instruments before the program, and i will address that more below.

Actually, I think it is a good idea to get instruments to begin your practice.
I am not intending it to be a requirement.
But it would be beneficial to begin playing with instruments if you have not.
It will give you some background and clarity on what I am teaching, as well as provide a strong foundation for questions you may have about the use of them.
There will be question and answer time each session.
It is a primary aspect of my teaching method.

But, this training is about far more than simple 'how to sing a crystal or Tibetan bowl.'
Most people do not realize the depth and power of using these tools in a healing practice can provide, and also do not have the background to assist their clients when they suddenly discover the practices are indeed effective.
How do you work with a client who suddenly is overcome with grief she has not resolved, over a loss in her life, when you were just playing a crystal bowl for relaxation.  Are you ready to meet that, and escort her through her pain without getting lost in your own?

These programs are for those who truly want to explore the in depth nature of sound as a healing practice, whether for themselves or for others, whether to use privately or professionally, or to integrate into an existing practice.
We have up to a 3 year program in this training.
I take my time to outline the principles of sound, the nature of healing, and the necessary component of our own consciousness and level and quality of awareness, and how that effects a practice, as well as the greater reflections of who we are in this universe, and what we may strive to both resolve and become.  What is our potential as human and spiritual beings?  Are we more than we realize?  Most elders of indigenous cultures, and accomplished wisdom teachers world wide find that to be so, and have specific teaching and methodology to assist in that.
For, if we are not striving for our own potential, how can we assist others to do the same?
Without these principles, the use of instruments becomes somewhat hollow, though simple use of instruments by the novice can be very effective.
I will be addressing that as well, understanding many people come to this without an extensive back ground in the healing arts, and need an easy entry level to begin to utilize these tools in their practice.
I am highly skilled at providing in depth background while providing effective tools for the novice, as well as broader understanding for those already skilled in the field, wanting to strengthen their practice.

My partner Dorothy Stone has an extensive background in the healing arts as well, with over 30 years in body based therapies, and over 15 years in sound therapy, integrating the two, as well as becoming a chant master, and facilitator of sacred sound ceremonies and healing practices.

By the second program, I may suggest you have your own tools.
Certainly if we carry on to the 3rd & 4th ones, I will.  (It requries the interest of those entering the first two trainings to continue to modules III and IV.

Below is a list I recommend to my students.
If you wish to call and consult with us on how to begin a practice, which instruments to use, assuming you are seeking to utilize that information to purchase through Sunreed Instruments, we will gladly take the time to consult and recommend what we feel are excellent starting tools, and and guide you through the process of what might work best for you, based on your own vision and goals.

We also offer 1 on 1 training if you want to work specifically in one area of study, such as how to use Tibetan or Crystal bowls, which are most effective for your desired outcome, etc, or other specific aspects of your interest and skill development needs.
This will all be covered to the best of my ability in a 3 hour session.
But, in my world view, 3 hours is hardly enough time to get started.
There is so much wonder in the field of sound, and, for me, it is extraordinarily beneficial and appropriate to cover the fundamental principles of sound, before we dive in and call ourselves a sound healer.

I do hope this is helpful.

Here is that list of instruments:
