The Medicine of Bear can be most rewarding. Bear is a powerful ally, bringing strength, courage, wisdom, and compassion. In many cultures, Bear represents the Divine Mother, and has the power to fiercely protect the innocent, as well as the wisdom of the teachings. Bear most often resides in the gateway of the West, and is the gatekeeper for the "Looks Within Place," where we journey into the inner sanctuary and observe our inner treasures, longings, and shadows, for deepening our understanding of self, our healing potential, and our relationship to the Cosmos.
These drum are handmade by our traditional Native Maker. We have sold many styles of bear drums , and when he is able to make them we always look forward to the bear drums knowing they will be incredibly high quality drums that will last a lifetime. Bear has a tendency to absorb humidity in a humid climate, though these drums will dry out and sound excellent after a short time in the sun.
